CREATING A PLOT

In order for me to edit the ghost film, as a class we came up with a rough plot/ storyline to follow:

(all inspired by horror tropes)

THE PROTAGONISTS

There are 4 protagonists which are inspired by horror stereotypes and each have a fear that they confront.

1. Chad - a cocky alphamale jock (fear of scarecrows and the woods, acts strong but is scared by simple things)

2. Frank - a careless tag-along (fear of clowns - childhood trauma)

3. Rachel - The survivor but not the favourite (insomnia, fear of sleep)

4. Becky - the rational one, also Rachels girlfriend (religious fear/ guilt because she's a lesbian)

THE PLOT

1. Four protagonists are going away for the weekend but on route hit something causing their car to brake down.

2. They choose to continue on foot, wandering through a creepy woods

3. They then stumble across a house and are greeted by an old couple who welcome them into their home

4. They choose to stay the night, however things start to go weird, they get separated and confronted by their biggest fears and 3 of 4 end up dying, Rachel escapes but then gets hit by a car.

THE AIM

We want to the audience to ask the question; was It Rachel that they hit with the car at the start? is it all somehow linked?

Another plot point to highlight is that Rachel has to take sleep medication. (so was it all a dream? was it real? did the drugs have something to do with what happened?)

The aim is to take the mick out of horrors and how similar they can be through creating the ultimate but basic horror story.
